I'm currently writing the sequel to So Many Reasons Why, and also a stand alone book I'm yet to name.

I thought I'd post a teaser from my WIP, and a bit of an overview as to what its about :)

Synopsis

Nineteen year old Lily is still struggling with the death of her identical twin, Abby, a year earlier when she moves away from home for college.
Following Abby’s death, Lily spent time in a psych facility after she was still seeing, hearing and speaking to Abby as though she was still alive. Now, ready to begin college, Abby only shows up in her dreams.
A chance encounter with Dane Hansen changes Lily’s life. Lily’s friends warn her off becoming involved with Dane. He’s bad news, according to the rumors, anyway..
Now, he’s back, nearly a year after he disappeared off the face of the earth weeks into his freshman year at college. But Dane is far from the popular, womanizing, athlete he once was.
Dane has experienced loss himself, after his six year old sister was abducted and murdered nearly ten years ago. He understands Lily, and the more time he spends with her, the harder he falls. There is something he hasn’t told her though, something almost nobody knows, and it’s something that might stop Lily from feeling the same way.

“With Abby. At least I got to say goodbye. She was sick for a long time. At least I had the chance to tell her every day how much I loved her.”
My voice broke slightly. I could feel tears pricking my eyes. Suddenly I began to laugh. Dane looked at me, both confused and amused by my outburst.
“It just stuck me how horrified Abby would be if she knew this is how my first date was going.” I giggled. Dane laughed, his blue eyes lighting up.
“Yeah, I guess we’re both pretty morbid.” He made a face. “So, you’re first date, huh?” He smiled at me. I groaned. Why did I say that?
Truth be told, I suppose this was my first date. I’d had a boyfriend before, Dennis Collins. We were together for about two months before Abby got sick, when I was fourteen. Our month together involved lots of kissing, some uncomfortable fondling, and two extremely awkward nights of sex in his single bed when his parents were away. Abby had been so pissed that I’d lost my virginity before her, especially when she was the one with the steady boyfriend. She’d been so mad that the very next night she’d slept with Will, almost as if to spite me.
“It’s not my first date.” I retorted, blushing. “Just my first in a while.” Dane grinned, obviously loving the discomfort I was feeling.
“Okay, enough of the family talk. That’s way too depressing. What’s your favorite color?”
“Purple.” I answered. “You?”
“Green.” He replied, gazing deep into my green eyes. I giggled, blushing. “No, really. I’m not just saying that to be smooth.” He argued. I laughed. I should hope not.
If that was him being smooth, then he was drowning, fast.
